HEFEI, China: From June 25 to 26, the formulation meetings for two industry technical standards were successfully convened in Hefei, Anhui Province. The sessions were hosted by the Electric Power Research Institute of Yunnan Power Grid Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Smart Distribution Professional Committee of the Zhongguancun Intelligent Power Industry Technology Alliance, along with CSG and Yuanguang Electric.
The first session focused on the Technical Guide for Self-Oscillation Test of Power Transformer Winding Deformation. Attendees conducted a systematic review of the preliminary draft, with expert discussions centering on the standard framework, technical specifications, test methodologies, and diagnostic criteria.

The following day marked the kickoff meeting for the Technical Guide for Ferroresonance Mitigation in Neutrally Ungrounded Systems. The session outlined the revision background and significance of the standard, presented the structural outline and core content, and featured in-depth discussions on mitigation principles, technical parameters, selection criteria for resonance suppression devices, and associated testing protocols.

Per the meeting agenda, the respective working groups will now incorporate the outcomes of these discussions, refine division of responsibilities among participating organizations, and proceed methodically with draft revisions, stakeholder feedback collection, and technical validation to ensure an efficient and compliant standardization process.
Ms. LI Shuna, Head of CSG’s Smart Grid Business Group, delivered opening remarks at the event. She noted that co-hosting these two standardization initiatives marks the first collaborative effort in industry technical standard-setting since CSG completed its strategic investment in Yuanguang Electric. As a co-organizer, CSG is committed to providing full logistical support and a productive environment for the working groups.

Following the meetings, attending experts toured the CSG Hefei Industrial Park exhibition center, where they gained insight into the company’s product portfolio, technological capabilities, and integrated solution offerings in the smart power distribution sector. The delegation offered high praise for CSG’s R&D, manufacturing standards, and product quality.
Looking ahead, CSG will continue to strengthen its strategic synergy with Yuanguang Electric, leveraging their combined technical expertise and industrial resources to uphold and implement industry standards. By capitalizing on opportunities presented by the new power system architecture and renewable energy integration, the company aims to drive technology advancement through standards innovation, contributing to a safer, more efficient, and greener evolution of the power system.
